Self Development Workshops and Group Therapy at LifePaths Counseling Center
See below for a brief description of each of the self development workshops and groups at LifePaths.
Most of our groups have now been changed to a “workshop” format, presented a topic at a time, in one to two hours instead of over a six to ten week time period. This allows you to choose topics you are most interested in, and allows us to present the most popular topics more frequently.
If you are interested in any workshop, most of the titles below is a link to a page with more information about that workshop/group. You can also get in touch with us by phone or email if you would like to ask some questions about the topics to be discussed and worked on.
The topics of these workshops focus on self esteem/appreciating who you are as an individual, understanding how your beliefs and values influence you and are a part of who you are, and building healthy relationships and coping skills to maintain your sense of peace and well-being. All six topics make a well-rounded series of self development activities.
➢ Clinical Supervision Group
This is a group for counselors who have obtained a master’s degree, are either Registered Psychotherapists or Licensed Professional Counselor Candidates, and are working towards Licensed Professional Counselor licensure in Colorado.
This is a series of workshop for teen and pre-teen girls focusing on self-esteem, relationships with others, body image and more. Each workshop is arranged by age group as well as topic so girls will be talking with and doing activities with others close to their own age.
This workshop is for parents who feel that they are being alienated from their children, usually by the other parent after a divorce.
Let us help you find ways to give your children the tools they need to deal with this extremely difficult type of situation, strengthen your relationship with your children, and find support from others experiencing similar issues.
➢ Recovery from the Emotional Impact of Fraud and Scams
This workshop is for either friends and family of someone who has been the victim of fraud or a scam, or someone who has experienced the fraud/scam themselves. This workshop discusses the many ways that people are emotionally impacted when they are the victim of fraud, ways you can help yourself emotionally recover when you’ve been victimized in this way, and ways that you can support a friend or family member.
