Online Courses on Scams and Financial Fraud

I’ve worked with scam victims for over ten years, and as a result I can share what I have learned in these online courses on scams and financial fraud. By taking this course, you can help fraud victims, too.  This is a growing problem!  We need more mental health therapists to know what to do to help, and to know how scams and financial fraud can so easily happen.

The online courses on scams and financial fraud that I created will teach you all about the psychological impact that most people experience when this happens, the tactics that scammers use to steal from people, and also guide you in some special circumstances such as the unique needs in facilitating a support group for scam survivors, how to work with someone who is involved with a scammer but does not want to accept it, and other situations you may not expect.  And of course, there is clinical information for you in the course for mental health professionals.

Please know that I am working on expanding the section on psychological tactics that scammers use – there’s over 50 tactics there now and I have SO many more to add!  I hope to get those added by the end of February 2025.

Professional Wills

I also have quite a bit of expertise in creating professional wills, which is a document that gives instructions on what to do if a therapist dies or is incapacitated.

I’ve facilitated many Professional Will Workshops for colleagues that included four things: why is it important, what decisions need to be considered, what are the typical challenges in getting a professional will done, and then actually DOING it right there in the workshop.  Now, you can access the same workshop material and template in  two online video courses about professional wills. One of them is an online version of the workshop, the other is a quick tutorial for a Professional Executor.

A Professional Executor is the person who steps in to care for your clients if a mental health provider dies or if something happens to them and they aren’t able to work. If you’ve been designated as someone’s Professional Executor or you suddenly must step in with no instructions about what to do, you’ll find comfort in this guidance.
